Believe it or not, the UK is one of the best places in the world to visit if you’re looking for an adventurous trip and some incredible views of natural landscapes. It might be a collection of small islands, but don’t be fooled by the compact size of this sovereign country. England, Scotland, Wales, and Ireland all boast beautiful areas of natural beauty. Of course, it would take hours to list all of the fantastic places you can visit in this part of the world, so here’s a pick of the best locations for an adventurous nature trip in the UK.
Wales is an incredibly small country, but there’s so much natural beauty oozing out of every square mile of this perfect little paradise. In particular, the seaside resort of Llandudno is well worth visiting; there’s a reason as to why this tiny town draws so many visitors on a yearly basis. As you can see in the picture above, the natural landscape of this community looks epic and stunning even during stormy weather conditions. The weather isn’t always bad, though; don’t worry. Make sure you visit Llandudno Bay and Llandudno Pier whilst you’re there. Both spots offer astounding natural views. The town itself is quaint and welcoming too. It’s just a beautiful place.
We’ve discussed this fantastic location on the blog before, but it’s worth mentioning again. Most of the time, Scotland can experience even more treacherous weather conditions than England, but that doesn’t take away from the sheer beauty of this fantastic mountain range. In the Cairngorms, you’ll find gorgeous mountains that pierce the sky, and many of them exceed 4000ft. Obviously, you’ll need to come prepared if you’re going to camp in this area. Camping in the wild is perfectly legal, but you need to make sure you have all the necessities for a trip into the wilderness. Pack plenty of non-perishable food; tinned cans, pasta, and eggs are all great options. You might even want to do some research on the best folding tactical knives. It’s important to be prepared for any situation when it comes to wildlife, bad weather, and extended trips in isolated locations. With that practical advice in mind, you’ll have a fantastic time exploring this stunning part of Scotland. It’s a freeing experience.
If you’re going to explore a natural area of England then head south and check out Devon. This beautiful county is absolutely worth the visit. There’s so much to see and experience. Given how far south it’s located, the weather can even be pleasant (occasionally). As pictured above, Dartmoor is an absolutely gorgeous place to visit. This moor in the south of Devon is brimming to the surface with rolling hills, lush green grass, and fantastic views of the surrounding area. You might also want to check out Beryl’s Campsite because this is a fantastic play to pitch a tent when you’re exploring Devon. It offers breathtaking coastal views and easy access to Beesands beach. This is definitely one of the best locations for an adventurous nature trip in the UK.
