Hey everyone, I’m Alice Ford. Travel Host, stunt woman and green junkie. I grew up in the woods of New Hampshire and have always had a love for nature, animals and adventure. From a very young age I had the joy of experiencing some of North Americas most special and beautiful places. My father was a hippie at heart and spent his years prior to having a family as a ski-patrolmen in Colorado, river guide in the Grand Canyon and backpacker all over the world. It was no surprise that he shared that love with my sister and I as soon as we were in the world. We spent vacations driving cross country through Yellowstone, traversing mountains, skiing in Salt Lake City, and climbing the stairs of Chichen Itza. Eco-Travel has always been in my blood. It is this upbringing that drives my passion everyday to encourage others to live at peace with nature, protect our planet and explore everything!
As a very accomplished athlete, environmentalist and host I am on a mission to go further than anyone to bring light to the worlds historical, cultural and natural icons; while advocating for animal rights and the protection of endangered species around the globe. Growing up in the white mountains of New Hampshire, I spent my youth competing in track and gymnastics. On my down time, I spent as much time as possible enjoying the natural environment around me.
A college athlete I competed in gymnastics, track and diving, performing in the spot light for over a decade. Applying my athletic abilities I earned a full ride at the University of Vermont. After two years of completion, Alice transferred to the University of Arizona. After college I went om to get my Master's Degree in Environmental Management.
Performing has always been a strong suit for me, along with her athletic abilities; in 2011 I combined the two and started a career as a professional stunt woman. During my on going career as a stunt woman I have worked on many well-known films such as Ender’s Game, Now you See Me and Transformers 4 & 5. This career has also given me the opportunity to travel all over the world.
One of my favorite things to do is hike and get off the grid in the wild. In 2013 I collaborated with Andrew DeCesare to turn my love for travel and conservation into something real. Combining my creativity and an extensive environmental knowledge, we traveled to some of the world’s most remote places in fall of 2013. Together we shot, edited and produced, “World Heritage Adventures.” In 2015 wee traveled to some of the Southwests best National Park's and shot "National Park Adventures" and are often shooting episodes of my show "Green & Fabulous." In 2016 I went on a solo trip to shoot the world Heritage sites in Portugal. Adding solo travel to my ever growing list of first.
This site is dedicated to inspiring you to travel deeper, find meaning in your life and relish true experiences with nature. I want to show you that protecting our planet is easier then you think and that sometimes the best vacation is just getting outside.
